Morgan Elizabeth Weddings Engagement photos are so much fun to take! It’s your opportunity for you and your significant other to get all glammed up and head to your favorite spots for photos you’ll cherish for the rest of your life. And… let’s hope you love them because they are usually not cheap! But nonetheless, a very fun experience that we recommend.
Now, after you take these photos… what to do with them?! Luckily for you, there are a lot of uses for your engagement photos! Our top five ideas include:
Save the Date Cards and/or Wedding Invitations
You and your significant other can select your favorite photo to use as your Save the Date card or your Wedding Invitation to send to your future wedding guests! This is a great way to personalize your announcement card and looks very cute hanging on fridges and decoration walls in people’s homes to remember when your big day is. Tip: If you decide to use the postcard style save the dates, remember the Postal Service will postmark on your mail. Keep in mind how your photo is arranged on the postcard to avoid lines going across your faces.
Holiday Cards
If you are lucky and your Save the Date will go out around the same time as holiday cards, you can use this as a dual-purpose card! But, if not, you can still use one of your engagement photos as a very nice holiday card from you and your significant other to all your friends and family. And don’t forget, if you don’t want to physically send out a card in the mail, these can be emailed as well!
Guest Books
Your engagement photos can also be used as a guest book at your wedding. You can print a large photo with a few inches of white edging around and have people who attend your wedding sign it. This is a great way to have something from your wedding as a memory in your home. You could also place a few photos in a photo book leaving every other page blank, then guests can sign the inside of your book.
Photos around your home
This is our personal favorite. Who better to look at on your walls than you and your favorite person?! You can have photos printed on canvas or arylic to hang around your house, like lining your staircase, over your bed, throughout your living room or dining room, or really any space in your home!
Gifts for parents/family
Being the realists that we are, there are not a ton of people apart from your family who want a photo frame for their house with you and your significant other. However, your parents usually would love this! This makes for a great birthday/holiday gift and is usually one you can do that is very sentimental and affordable.
